Congratulations to the following WJHS Cheerleaders for the 2017-2018 school year!  They are: Eighth grade-Mahli McKay, Rachel Jones, Jadyn Banks, Emily Benge, Crystal Delgado, Kaityln Armour, Cayla Barlow, and Shawna Cramer.  Seventh grade-Kendall Cretsinger, Chloe Petzold, McKenzie Hightower, and Riley Franklin. The mascot is eighth grader, Natalie Franklin-Cox.

Teen Nation
                                          Teen Nation Presents Anti-Bullying Program 

Westwood Junior High hosted an anti-bullying program  March 24. The program was presented by Teen Nation, who travels  throughout the US, performing at schools and other establishments while sending a message against bullying. Each performer shared his/her experience with bullying as a student and encouraged students to lift each other up. The presenters included former student of WJHS, Emily Starr.

The WJH Parent Support Group, also known as PSG, would like to invite the parents of the WJHS students to join their group.  Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month in the foyer of the gym.  The purpose of the Parent Support Group is to enrich the educational welfare of Westwood Junior High students and teachers, as well as the community at large by helping to provide financial support beyond what the school budget can provide.   The next meeting will be October 13 from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.  For more information, please e-mailwwjhpsg@yahoo.com. We hope to see you there!
