Thomas Hanna

Hello My Name Is...

Thomas Hanna

Welcome to my classroom. I have been a teacher here at Westwood for the past 8 years. This year I will be teaching Technology Applications II and Art. I have coached football, basketball, cross country, track and tennis in my 8 years here. This year I will not be coaching any sports. I have truly enjoyed my years here so far and look forward to many more.

I graduated from Malakoff High School in 2001. From there I moved on to Trinity Valley Community College in Athens Texas. I received an associates degree in Kinesiology in 2004 and moved on to Texas A&M University in College Station Texas. In 2007 I graduated from A&M with a bachelors degree in Health Education. I completed my student teaching at Texas A&M Consolidated High School and was employed to Westwood ISD soon after. I am certified to teach in Physical Education, Health, Technology Applications, Art and Special Education.

I married my junior high sweet heart the same year I graduated from college. We have been married for 9 years and been together for 20. My wife is an accountant. I have no kids but consider my students to take the place of that. I have wanted to be a teacher since the 8th grade and was the first person in my family to graduate from college.

I look forward to having a great year. GO PANTHERS!
